Melissa B. Convertito

Attorney Melissa B. Convertito is an associate in the law firm of Letizia, Ambrose & Falls.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Quinnipiac College and a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Quinnipiac College School of Law.  Ms. Convertito was a member of the Mock Trial Society and the Quinnipiac Law Review Association, which published her article, Ascuitto v. Farricielli: Connecticut's Failure to Reform Familial Tort Liability.  She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association Workers’ Compensation section, the American Bar Association, The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the New Haven INNOF Court.  Ms. Convertito is also an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University.

 

Ms. Convertito's practice focuses on defending, workers’ compensation claims and related third party claims, healthcare and managed care, including Medicare and Medicaid issues, corporate licensing and health care vendor and durable medical equipment contracts.  She has represented employers at informal and formal hearings and at the Compensation Review Board. Her practice also involves personnel counseling, wage and hour audits, employment litigation, insurance litigation and labor negotiations.  Ms. Convertito's healthcare clients include hospitals, managed care organizations, third-party administrators, occupational health facilities, physician groups, nursing homes, home care agencies and utilization review companies.
