Aigné Goldsby
Attorney Goldsby is a skilled trial attorney passionate about receiving favorable results for her clients. She is admitted to practice law in Connecticut State and Federal Court. Attorney Goldsby received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and her B.A. from Bryn Mawr College.
Attorney Goldsby has extensive experience in litigation. She has taken and defended over two hundred and fifty depositions of plaintiffs, defendants and expert witnesses. She has successfully completed four trials in Connecticut Superior Courts from jury selection to verdict as the sole trial counsel and was second chair for two asbestos trial in California. Attorney Goldsby’s clients have included insurance companies, healthcare providers, municipalities, product manufacturers, parents, and school districts.
Outside of her law practice, Attorney Goldsby is the Founder of Black Esquire where she is on a mission to increase diversity in the legal profession and raise the 5% of Black Lawyers. Through Black Esquire, Attorney Goldsby is known as The VALUE Coach. VALUE stands for using your VOICE to ADVOCATE so others can LEARN and UNDERSTAND your EXCELLENCE.
Attorney Goldsby is also a proud volunteer for her local community. She is a past President of the George W. Crawford Black Bar Association. She is also active in the Connecticut Bar Association as a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee and the Diversity Director of the Young Lawyers Section. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the ACLU of Connecticut, on the Steering Committee for the Governor's Council on Women and Girls, and as a member of the Division of Criminal Justice Community Engagement Board.
Attorney Goldsby has also been recognized by the Connecticut Law Tribune as a New Leader in the Law in 2018. And recently received the UConn Law Alumni Association with the Graduate of the Last Decade Impact Award in 2020 and the MLK Day Holiday Commission Service Award in 2022.
