Attorney Andrew A. Cohen, of
counsel for Letizia, Ambrose
& Falls, P.C. in New Haven.
He graduated magna cum laude
from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1986, after serving as
Managing Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. He then clerked for U.S.
District Judge Harold H. Greene and practiced with the Washington D.C.
office of Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler, where he worked
on complex civil litigation.
Since his arrival in Connecticut in 1990, Mr. Cohen has practiced extensively
in the areas of:
Wrongful discharge
Wage and hour
Workers' compensation
and the related issues
between employees and employers.
He has represented employers in court proceedings, administrative
hearings and other forums, has been primarily responsible for appeals
of important employment issues, and has been a frequent speaker at seminars
on employment law. Mr. Cohen also serves as special master for employment
cases pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
Mr. Cohen presently serves on the board of directors of two
Connecticut non-profit agencies. He also is an adjunct lecturer at
Quinnipiac University Graduate School, speaking on topics related to
employment law and litigation. He is a frequent speaker at
seminars on the Americans with Disabilities Act, sexual harassment and
related topics.
